Week 7 Summary....

What a wonderful Northern Division Playoff race. Connecticut (4-1) slipped back into first place when Philadelphia (4-1) pounded Massachusetts (4-2). This Weeks Key Game will see Philadelphia traveling to Connecticut for a HUGE Title showdown. Connecticut defeated Philadelphia 12-7 back in week #1, a slim 5 point margin, if Philadelphia wins by 6 or more, they will have the inside track on the division title. Philadelphia leads Massachusetts by 22 in their tie breaker. Massachusetts holds the edge over Connecticut.

The Great Lakes Division comes down to the final game of the season, Detroit (5-0) at Cleveland (5-1). Detroit defeated Cleveland 7-0 in week one. Cleveland must defeat Detroit by 8 points or more to take the Division Title.

The Mid Atlantic Division has D.C. (5-0) running away with the Division Title. Everything has fallen D.C.'s way, which they are banking on handing them home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Baltimore (4-2) and Columbus (3-2) should end up 5-3, with Columbus owning the tie breaker between the two teams, only way they will end up better is to upset D.C. when they get their opportunity. Pittsburgh is working on being a spoiler as their season winds down.

The Midwest Division Leader Oklahoma City (4-1) is in jeopardy of losing the Division Title. With a one game lead over Kansas City (4-2) and the tie breaker dead even, it all could come down to the final game of the season in Kansas City. Kansas City did what it had to in order to keep their playoff hopes alive, and now they have a golden opportunity to steal the Division Title away from Oklahoma City.

The Gulf Coast Division is all Pensacola (6-0), Who will get their first real test the last week of the season against Alabama. Panama City could end up at 5-3 and possibly in the playoff mix, though last weeks game had to be called at half-time due to injuries depleting Panama City's squad.

The playoff race is here in the Central Division with undefeated Chattanooga (6-0) being chased by Alabama (5-1) and the two (4-2) teams Asheville and Nashville. Chattanooga will win the Division Title. The real question is how many playoff teams will emerge from this talented division? Chattanooga, Alabama, and Nashville have only one tough game remaining on their schedule, While Asheville has Nashville and Chattanooga left on their schedule. The Asheville - Nashville game will decide who gets knocked out of the playoffs. Chattanooga has defeated Alabama [28-26}, Asheville [15-12], and Nashville [41-8] Alabama defeated Asheville [20-19].
