The Kansas City Krunch gets a new owner

Linda Pankey #91

Linda Pankey has spent most of her life in the Kansas City area and currently resides in Overland Park, KS. Linda’s affiliation with football began when she was around 10 years of age when her father played semi-professional football in Kansas City for a team called the Rowdy Raiders. Linda’s passion continued when she took on the challenge of being Operations Coordinator when her husband, Edmund Pankey, played semi-professional football.

Linda’s love for the game grew even further when she tried out for the Krunch in 2003. Linda played defensive tackle for the Krunch and played an intrical part in securing the 2004 Midwest Division Championship. In October 2004, Linda purchased the Kansas City Krunch with one purpose: To take this organization to the next level.

Implementing changes within the administration and a new organizational structure, Linda has already started that trend for the Krunch. With a wealth of experience in managing semi-professional teams, she is determined to move the Krunch in the right direction and continue upward strides to the top.

With a strong cast of veteran players returning to the Krunch, Linda feels the 2005 season will be a showcase season. Linda stated, “This team will be hard to beat on the field, as well as off the field.” The Kansas City Krunch has been in existence since 2002 and will be beginning its third season in 2005!
